It’s crazy how two people can have the same heart posture yet be so far from each other with the differing factor being information or shall I say faith?
I watched a YouTube video by a beautiful religious woman. When I say “religious” I hope you understand that I don’t mean Christian. I’d rather not disclose the exact path this lady is on because that’s not what this is about. She spoke of her desire to draw nearer to God and fulfill His purpose for her. She had even made bold decisions to ensure her goal is reached; decisions that I believe people in her society would think are absolutely crazy.
What i found intriguing is how similar our hearts and state of mind were; it was like I was the one talking in my phone screen. Yet one of us is living a lie. It made me wonder why she wasn’t saved yet. Here’s a woman whose heart is turned to God and it’s not just big talk because she shifted her entire life to focus on God and living life as He desires. “Why haven’t You revealed Yourself to her?”, I asked the Lord. I then went down a rabbit hole thinking of how many people die yearning for God yet never know Christ. I thought of people in their old age seeking God without Christ. I asked the Lord again, “Why?”.
Two things came to mind; the story of Jonah and Matthew 7:21-23. There are times we don’t yield to God’s leading for a plethora of reasons, but do we ever think of the consequences? Do you wonder who has missed out on salvation or has been held a step back in their journey to it? God is concerned about the salvation of all humanity, that’s why I believe that He would use you in whatever way you give Him room to achieve that.
What’s even more sad is the fact that not all of humanity will be saved- some people just love the darkness. I can’t help but be hopeful though; I genuinely believe that if we all continue to say yes to the Lord’s leadings, if we make Mark 16:15 our mission a lot more people would be in our Kingdom.
What do you think?
