I Know What To Do At All Times.

The amount of growth that I’ve personally experienced these past (almost) two years, is something I never thought possible.

Someone, though I can’t remember whom, said that when Truth is staring at you in the face, you’d see just how inadequate you are. But here’s the plot twist, when Grace stares at you the in the face, you’ll also see how capable you are too.

That’s the summary of my experience with God since 2021.

We say it all the time, “Be not hearers of the word alone but doers also.” This singular piece of information made me realize that I didn’t know how lazy I was as a Christian.

I genuinely thought that being a doer of the word was simply praying; making power available for things to change in my world. I expected God to magically bring my answered prayers my way after that.

I thought that was the ONLY work I needed to put in for things to work out fine for me. That’s the definition of grace, right?

But something else exists outside prayer: The leading of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer is a means to an end. I started noticing that after praying, The Lord would always tell me what to do to get the result that He knows is best for me. I needed to do something about what I wanted for my life!

Read that last sentence again.

My spiritual advantage isn’t that God does all the work for me. My spiritual advantage is that I know what to do at all times. I’m never confused on what to do. That was it all along.

While others struggle looking for what to do and how, I don’t have to struggle because God has made the way straight for me by simply telling what to do. I have to DO SOMETHING about what I want.

It hasn’t been the smoothest journey transitioning from the former experience and into the latter one. But I’m so grateful to God for this new found understanding of how He operates.

We have to do something to get something done. It’s a principle that God made. Nothing can change that.

And even if something supernatural happens to me, it’ll happen because I was on the way, following the instructions of God.

Until next time.
